English Bay Beach

English Bay Beach, also called First Beach, located along Beach Ave between Gilford St and Bidwell St, is the most populated beach area in Vancouver's downtown area. The Stanley Park Seawall, a popular running and biking route, runs along the east side of the beach.

Lonsdale Quay Market

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses to towering evergreens, cedar-scented rainforest air and Treetops Adventure, 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor. The new Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River with a labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms and only 16 anchor points in the cliff supporting the structure!

Grouse Mountain

Lynn Canyon Park & Suspension Bridge

Lynn Canyon Park features a suspension bridge that sways 50 meters above the canyon. It was built privately in 1912 when the park opened. Lynn Canyon also offers a selection of walking and hiking trails that connect to other parks in the region such as Lynn Headwaters, Rice Lake, and Inter River Park.

Gastown

From being the oldest Vancouver neighbourhood with cobbled streets and Victorian architecture buildings, Gastown has now developed into a pleasant place for strolling, shopping or dining while still maintaining its historic appearance. It also contains malls along with souvenir shops and street vendors. The main tourist attractions in Gastown are the unique steam clock and the statue of 'Gassy Jack' Deighton.

Walking route suggestion: Head Southeast on Smithe Street towards Pacific Boulevard. Turn left onto Pacific Boulevard, turn left onto Pat Quinn Way then continue onto Abott Street (14 minutes).
 

New Westminster
